Rev. Peter Sastradjaja

Rev. Frencing Sastradjaja

Frencing has been based in Sydney since 2004. Together with her husband, Peter, she founded AI Church for English ministry in 2015. With a decade of experience working with national and international NGOs as an operations leader and coordinator, she has been actively serving with her two sons to minister to a diverse, intergenerational community of faith since 2015. She holds several qualifications, including a Master of Theology, Master of Project Management, Bachelor of Interior Design, Dip Mgt, and Diploma in Accounting, and was ordained as a Reverend by the Foursquare Churches of Australia in April 2024 and joined the Baptist Church Association and sits as a Women's Leader and is a member of the board of New Start Church.

Peter earned his Master of Theology and was ordained by the Foursquare Churches of Australia in 2013, and joined the Baptist Church Association in 2022. With a background in a Bachelor of IT, a Diploma in Management, and CPE (Clinical Pastoral Education). As a 1.5-generation immigrant in Sydney, he was profoundly affected by the challenges faced by the second generation born there. In response, he initiated an outreach for the younger generation in 2015, laying the groundwork for what AI Church has become today.

History

The AI Church was founded to address the challenges faced by young multicultural generations in Sydney. Both pastors, driven by a strong sense of mission, felt called to serve this group. In 2015, a small group of young, multicultural nonbelievers became intrigued by the mission trip of the leaders (now pastors), who had crossed the Syrian border to provide aid. This curiosity led them to explore the Gospel, sparking the outreach that has evolved into AI Church today. In 2022, AI Church became part of Baptist Church Association and expanded its services to the Indonesian community in Campsie, establishing a second service in Bahasa Indonesia. Additionally, that year saw the launch of a children's ministry and a vibrant night service in Campsie.
